At some point you will likely need to write an "About Me" or short business profile for your band, artwork, service or other small business. This article provides three important tips for writing an "About Me" profile that also promotes your small business, along with a fill-in-the-blanks writing template.
Tip #1: Keep it short and sweet. People have short attention spans these days, particularly when they are reading something online.
Tip #2: People love a story. So describe how you got into your business and what you love (or hate!) about it. Just write it as if you were telling someone at a party about your business.
Tip #3: Your goal is to get people interested in your business and hopefully continue reading about your business. In order to do that, you have to answer the WIIFM ("what's in it for me") question that is in every customer's mind.
Tip #4: In any "about me" or business profile, the most important sentence is the one that answers the WIIFM. It tells the reader what benefits they can get from purchasing your product or service.
Below are two different fill-in-the-blanks templates for writing a short business personal profile. Feel free to use or edit these template to fit your needs.
Template Example 1
As the owner/operator of ________________ (your business name, linked to your website), I provide ___________ (your service or product) to ____________ (your customers) so they can ____________ (what your customers do with your service or product). I got into this line of business in ______ (year) when _________ (tell how you got started).
My favorite part of having a ___________ (type of business) business is ____________, because it allows me to ____________ (why you enjoy it). Also, _________________ (a part of your job) can be a lot of fun! When I'm not working on ___________ (your business name, linked to your website), I like to _________ (your hobbies).
Template Example 2
___________ (company name) provides ___________ (the product or service you provide) to __________ (your customers). _____________ (company name) was established in _____ (year), and since then has served over ________ (number) happy customers. Company founder _____________ (your name) is a qualified ____________, _______________, and ____________ (your expertise or qualifications) who brings over ____ years experience to this work. He/She started the company because ____________ (why you started the company - put the emphasis on solutions you provide to customers).
To summarize, a good "about me" or personal profile is short, tells a story, and let's the reader know exactly why they might be interested in hiring the individual or the company. Do these three things and you will write a great "about me" or business profile that gets the results you want.

Bookmakers make their money by creating an 'edge' over their customers. The odds on offer are usually slightly shorter than what they actually should be. Odds work on the probability of an event taking place. For example, if a football team is priced at evens or 2s in the digital form it suggests that there is a 50% chance that particular team will win. So if that same game featuring those exact teams were to be played out 10 times the team priced at evens should win 5 of them. Although the correct probability here is 50% and the odds should be priced at 2s, bookmakers will offer you a reduced figure. They would offer you say 1.9 giving them a 10% margin or edge. The book does not balance and tilts in the direction of the bookmaker. The probability stays the same but if you were to back that same team in the 10 matches at the new price of 1.9 you would lose money. If you were to put £10 on every game you would still lose £50 on the 5 times your team lost but at 1.9 you would only make back £45. This is why it is so difficult to beat a bookmaker and it is important that you understand this concept.
It is now possible for individuals to follow this same process and effectively play bookmaker. Traditionally as a football punter you would back a single outcome in a game, either a home win, away win or the draw. With the birth of betting exchanges came the ability to lay an outcome as well as back. Laying an event means to oppose it and say that it will not happen. So if you were to lay a home win you would be saying that it would not happen and therefore profit on the away win or the draw. Profiting on more than one outcome in a football match massively increases you strike rate and is one of the reasons why bookmakers do so well.
When you lay an event the amount you risk is determined by a reverse in the stated odds. Your liability is the amount a punter would win if they were to back that outcome. So if a team is priced at 2.5 to win a football match and a punter were to back that team at this price they would stand to make £15 from their £10 stake. As the layer you would be risking this £15 prize to take the punters £10 stake. So when laying, the shorter the prices the better.
Playing the bookmaker in a football match is a new concept for some but it is often much easier to pick a team that will not win to one that will!

Online bingo is one of the best ways of whiling idle time away and this fact cannot be stressed further - the statistics say it all! With as much as 8 per cent of the entire world's population indulging in the game, there is no denying the enviable hold that it has on human kind in general. Demographically speaking, this online game has managed to shoot its roots deep into the psyches of the gamers and has established itself as the mass entertainer across continents. From being popular in down under Australia as Housie to the superstardom it enjoys in the European countries like Spain, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Italy to being the choice of millions in the United States, this game has managed to push all other games to one side and emerge as the one true winner.
However, nowhere does it enjoy as much adoration of the masses as it does in the United Kingdom. With UK bingo being declared the most popular form of entertainment in the entire country, the game has come a long way since its heydays as an Italian lottery game and has become an intangible part of the online gaming community of the world. People have been playing this wonderful little game for centuries and as things stand now, it is evident that this popularity is not likely to witness a decline anytime in the near future. If anything, it is only likely to rise, taking bingo from strength to strength. Online bingo has managed to topple even hall bingo which, for many years now, has been a major crowd puller and this is no small fete.
There are many things that make bingo fun. Some of the most fun facts about the game include:
Bingo got its name when a female player accidently yelled 'bingo' during a game instead of 'beano' which was what the game was called then.
96% of all bingo players have won a game at least once. This means that the chances of hitting the jackpot in this game are very high.
The average bingo game lasts 3 to 6 minutes. So, for a bingo player, life offers a new shot at the big jackpots every 3 to 6 minutes.
Rumour has it that Columbia University mathematics professor Carl Leffler went insane while trying to come up with 6,000 bingo cards with non repeating numbers.
The game of bingo, as we know it today, was introduced in 1930 and by 1934, there were 10,000 bingo games being played regularly.
It's a misconception that bingo is only a women's game, though it's true that they constitute the majority of the gaming population. Online bingo participants are about 80% female and 20% male.
It was during the early 20th century that bingo became popular in Australia where it came to be known as Housie. This game was played in large marquees before moving into halls.
During the 1800s, Germans began using a Lotto game similar to bingo as an educational tool designed to help children learn multiplication tables easily.
According to a survey, most people play bingo games because they are fun, offer companionship and the chance to socialise. Winning is only the fifth most important motivation.
One calculation shows 552,446,474,061,128,648,601,600,000 possible number arrangements on the standard bingo card.

Everyone approaches crossroads in life that make them examine their future. Some people mistakenly believe that they are too old or too young to change certain factors in their lives. I have news for everyone; it is never too late to act upon your hopes and dreams. I have always believed that certain things do occur and do not occur in our lives for reasons. Sometimes, the opportunity to achieve dreams does not occur until later in people's lives, and this is not a terrible thing.
It is not uncommon for people to have hopes and dreams of starting their own business. Who would not want to work for themselves while possibly making a difference in not only their own lives but the community? Entrepreneurship is about making money; however, it is also about social responsibility, and if you have your heart set upon owning your own business someday, you can make your vision a reality with some careful planning and realistic evaluations of yourself.
The first question anyone should ask themselves before beginning the journey of entrepreneurship is the question, "Are you ready for such a commitment?" There are numerous self-help gurus who will proudly proclaim that running your own business is easy. These same gurus will state that you can obtain riches overnight. I am sorry to burst that bubble, but this is simply not true.
Becoming an entrepreneur consists of hard work and dedication. It consists of working long hours while overseeing daily operations of your business. These words are not meant to discourage anyone from becoming an entrepreneur however; people must understand that in order to prove successful with entrepreneurship, one has to receive truthful information that will not set you up for failure.
The following are crucial steps that prospective entrepreneurs should do before becoming business owners:
1. Review your personal finances and credit
Anyone who wants to become an entrepreneur should have the resources to start such an undertaking. You should have the cash or credit in order to begin your entrepreneurship journey. Another way to finance this operation is to seek investors. If you find that you cannot finance your project as of yet, make it your goal with correcting your finances and or credit. If you need to seek investors, create a business plan. If you do not contain the expertise in creating a business plan, enlist the services of a writing professional who would be more than happy to help you create such a document that will attract investors to invest into your dream.
2. What product and or services are you interested in selling to the public?
This step is extremely valuable because you have to find out if your product and or services are marketable. Your business should appeal to the public. If you are interested in starting up a non-profit organization, you should perform an honest analysis in determining if your services can help the demographic of people you want to help.
3. Location, location and did I mention location?
Where you want to set up shop proves tremendously beneficial. Before setting up a business anywhere, it proves wise to perform a demographical study. A demographical study is when you look into the population of the area you are interested in starting a business within. Look into the population of females, males, children, elderly and teenager population. This might seem dull however; this study will give you the information needed in realizing if your product and or services will be appreciated in a particular area.
4. Hire qualified personnel
When you are at the stage of hiring employees for your business, keep in mind that the business is your life. You have a bundle tied up in this new business venture, and you need skilled workers that are going to enhance your career in comparison to ruining your business. Perform background checks, credit checks and demand references.
Conclusion
No matter what you are interested in selling or offering to the public, you can make your dream come true. Starting your own business is not an easy task but with hard work and dedication, you can make your hopes turn into reality. Remember, it is never too late to become an entrepreneur and you can display your hopes and passions through your business while making a difference in countless lives including your own.

Live dealer roulette is becoming incredibly popular in the online gambling universe. Live dealer games provide an air of realism in what is a largely digitized world, helping to bridge the gap for players who have yet to make the switch from land-based casinos to online gambling websites. For players who are unfamiliar with the platform, this article will provide an overview of these games and how they work in the online world.
Live dealer roulette is essentially a cross between online casino games and land-based offerings. A dealer in a remote location is broadcast to the player via webcam, and the game plays out in exactly the same fashion as a traditional casino game. The dealer spins the wheel, so there is no need for a random number generator; the dealer carries out any actions needed to move the game forward. In addition to roulette, live dealer baccarat and blackjack are also available in the online gambling world.
There are two main types of live games. The first is streamed from an online casino and broadcasts a dealer from a private studio. The set up is optimized to create a comfortable online gambling experience. The second type of live dealer software broadcasts a dealer table from a land-based casino. Players can see all of the other players at the table and watch as the action unfolds in the exciting casino environment.
When playing this type of online casino game, the player's screen is divided into two sections. The top half of the screen broadcasts the dealer - and displays the bet limits, chat box and timer. The bottom half of the screen is a digital representation of the dealer's table. In games like baccarat and blackjack, the cards that the are dealt appear here. All of the wagering options also appear in this section of the screen, and the functions are similar to those in a completely digitized online casino game.
Live dealer software is provided by third-party developers rather than individual casino operators. Companies like Microgaming and PlayTech supply the software that make online roulette, blackjack and baccarat into live dealer games. As the market continues to grow and develop, more developers who specialize in this type of gaming are emerging. Smaller companies like Evolution Gaming and CWC Gaming specialize in this type of software development and are slowly gaining a portion of the live dealer market share.
